Last week was the first time Carly and I had the pleasure of working with the lovely staff at The Doctor's House.

This venue located just north of Toronto is an interesting mix of old architecture, tight spaces, comfort mixed with luxury.

My personal favorite part of the venue was the underground access to the chapel from the main house. It was a great way to sneak the groom in just before the ceremony started.

The last time I had the pleasure of photographing at Steamwhistle Brewery was for Andrea Ferguson and Brett Martin's brewery wedding. This location fit their personality perfectly.

The first time we ever went to Stayner was also the first time we had the pleasure of visiting Centennial United Church. We were in the area covering the wedding of Amy Coutts and Jody Bennett. This church had that appealing charm that small churches in small communities always do. The ceremony put on by the local minister was sincere and heartfelt; you could tell they were close to the couple and that they really enjoying their job.

After the ceremony all the participants milled about outside the church, spilling into the street. A great time was had by all.

Jen Sorrenti and Dan Shebunchak picked a very unique church for their wedding.

Their church had a perfect balance of Catholic grandeur, eastern European culture and small church atmosphere.

Also Father Aloishes was one of the nicest priests we have had the opportunity to work with in a long time. I recall asking him if he has any rules for the photographers, something I always do since I don’t want to step on their toes or break any unique rules, his response to me was that I can do anything I want just make sure this beautiful couple gets the memories they want. He was lots of fun and tremendously cheerful.

I knew from my pre-event preparations that I was going to a catholic church but I was not prepared for the modern and contemporary building into which I entered. I was pleasantly surprised by the change, not that there is anything wrong with traditional ornate catholic church, in fact they are extremely beautiful, it's just that I had just had a long string of wedding in traditional buildings and it was an unexpected change.

Luxury wedding couple sharing their first dance in front of their family and friends in the ballroom at Woodington Lake Golf Club

The last event we covered at the Woodington Lake Golf Club was the wedding of Julie Matthews and Rob Butler. Woodington Lake Golf Club put on an amazing show while we were there. Not only were their grounds beautiful but their staff was very accommodating. Plus the Fireworks they put on at night were spectacular.

The last event we covered at the La Na nGael - Irish Centre of Brampton was the wedding of Toni and Ryan. This venue fit perfectly with their style and their cultural sensibilities. This venue had a perfect mix of modern style and warm Irish hospitality.

The Bob Rumball Manor House has a lot going for it in regards to being a great wedding reception venue. It's located in a beautiful section of  north east Toronto. If you are thinking of having a small intimate gathering of around 50 guests this might be the perfect location for you.

The last event I photographed there was a beautuful summer wedding. The reception was held outside in the courtyard. The whole area was surround by large old growth trees which gave the event a warm comforting nature feeling.

On top of being a fabulous wedding reception venue the Bob Rumball Manor is also a charitable organization with all proceeds from events held on the grounds going directly to the The Ontario Mission of the Deaf.
