Vanessa + Rocky’s Engagement Session

Last weekend Vanessa and Rocky meet me at one of my favorite locations, Mt. Albion Falls. Vanessa and Rocky requested it because they loved the waterfall images I did for Kristen and Cory.

We had a great time and we all got nice and wet.

You guys were a blast to work with and I can't wait for your wedding.

Kristin + Cory’s Engagement Session

I've been waiting for Kristin and Cory's engagement session for over a year - and they did not disappoint.

Not only did they hike all the way down the Hamilton escarpment but then they climbed up the waterfall with and and got right it!

Elisha and Will’s Engagement Session

Yesterday Carly and I were scheduled to shoot Elisha and Will's engagement session. In an effort beat the heat we headed deep into the forest, this ended up being a great idea since the beautiful scenery created a perfect backdrop for their fun and passion in-front of the camera.

Everyone had a great time. We hope you guys love the photos.

2010 is going to be a year of expansion and growth for us here at "Micah Bowerbank Photography". One of our new focuses will be Editorial Fashion Photography.

We have put together an ambitious schedule of shoots over the next few months. Below are a few select images from our first fashion photo shoot of the year. They feature our model Dani posing in a variety of outfits.

Thanks to the guys at "The Doors Pub" in Hess Village for letting us have the run of the place for a couple of hours in the morning.

Esther’s Trash the Dress Session

Carly and I had a blast with Esther this past Sunday. We lucked out with a fairly warm day considering it was the 15th of November in Canada.

Esther you were stunning, and Patti you were a great help too!

Julie + Rob’s Trash the Dress Session

Julie and Rob have been our wildest couple this year! You guys rock! First we had a fun filled (breaking & entering) engagement session. Then came their luxury wedding at Woodington Golf and Country Club. But the icing on the cake was when Julie called and asked if I wanted to Trash her Dress. My obvious answer was YES!

Now keep in mind it is mid October - the air was 5 degrees and I can't even guess how cold the water was. You two are tough. I hope you love the photos - I can't wait to photograph you guys again, you make my job easy!

Jen + Dan’s Engagement Photo Shoot

We love when our couples have as much energy as we do. When we told Jen and Dan our plan to make them hike down a 100 foot embankment so we could balance them on giant rocks in the path of a waterfall their response was "That sounds awesome, let's roll!".

We had a great time and only 1 soaker (definition: a foot that slips into the water resulting in a shoe full of water).

I'm so looking forward to your October wedding, it'll be great getting photos of you two in-front of some fall colour trees.

2009: It’s all about giving back to the community

My wife Carly and I have been so blessed over the last couple of years. We've got a beautiful young family, 1 boy (Jacob) and 1 girl (Katelyn) and our photography business is thriving.

This year we decided that we wanted to give back to our community. We’ve decided to use our talents and provide free photographic services.

This weekend was our first official charity event of 2009 and it was a blast!

This Saturday was the official kick-off of earth day week so we provided Earth Day Hamilton-Burlington with coverage of their 5 km charity fun walk/run and their afternoon of tree planting to support sustainability in the local ecosystem

Thanks to everyone at Earth Day Hamilton-Burlington - we had a blast and we're glad that we could do our part.

Keep an eye out for the next chapter in our "Giving Back" series - we've got one that is really close to our hearts that we are trying to setup.

Bridal fashion shoot – City

Our last session with Dani was shot in the Hamilton downtown core. Dani loved the idea of strolling around the city on a Sunday morning in a wedding dress. We found a ton of great and gritty locations.
